This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use jdka.net, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French data protection law.

Data we collect and why

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Contact form submissions: Name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (responding to incoming communication).
• Newsletter subscriptions: Email address only. We use this to send you new dispatches when they are published. Lawful basis: consent (you provide this voluntarily by subscribing).
• Analytics data: If you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymised data on how pages are accessed (page views, referrers, approximate location at country level). We use this to understand how people find the site. Lawful basis: consent.
• Essential technical data: Server logs may record your IP address and browser type for security and performance monitoring. These are not used for profiling and are not shared. Retention: 30 days. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.

Data retention

Contact enquiries are retained for three years from the date of last contact, or for the duration of any professional relationship arising from the enquiry, whichever is longer. Newsletter subscription data is retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for thirteen months.

Sharing of personal data

We do not sell personal data. We share data with the following categories of third parties only where necessary to operate our services: email delivery providers (to send newsletters), website analytics providers (if you consent), and hosting infrastructure providers. All third-party providers are required to process data only on our instructions and in accordance with GDPR.

International transfers
